Weekend for two in Romania

The month of February is the month of love, as you already know. Be it Saint Valentine’s Day or the Romanian Dragobete (our local holiday for lovers, on February 24th), everyone is thinking what to do to surprise the loved one or to show him/her how much he/she is loved. This post about weekend for two in Romania might be just what you need for you surprise. I’ll show you what alternatives you have and then all I can say is: “Love is in the air…”.

Love and nature

A romantic weekend can be perfect in a natural mountain lounge, namely a house in the tree, fully equipped with everything you would find in a hotel room (except a TV and I hope I don’t have to explain why it is missing). Just leave all your problems at home and come to feel better in a place where relaxation is the norm at The Harmonie Tourist Complex, located in the Pietrisului Valley, in the area called ‘Trei Brazi (Three fir trees)’, 5 km away from Predeal. This picturesque place is surrounded by mountains and offers a beautiful panorama of the Cold Creek and the mountains Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. In my view, this will be an unforgettable experience and you will want to come back again and again. I mean, being so close to nature yet not really camping sounds great to me.

The Secret Room

Maybe you love nature but not that much. In that case, your weekend for two in Romania may be a stylish and luxurious one. In the heart of Transylvania, near one of the most beautiful Romanian cities, Sibiu, you have the chance to admire the highest mountains in Romania but in a unique fashion. At the Grosspold Pension, an old Saxon fortress has been renovated especially for tourists, preserving the medieval atmosphere but with modern touches. The Secret Room you can book there has the largest bed in Romania (18 metres) with a beautiful crystal chandelier above it. Just imagine the memories you’ll bring back home after staying there!

These two are special places, unique in Romania, where you can celebrate love. However, as long as all you need is just some time alone with the loved person, any destination you choose, mountain or seaside, large town or remote resort, will be perfect to achieve your aim. The best part about it is that there are numerous places in Romania where Valentine’s Day seems to come every day.
