Remaining in the sport’s field, Catalina Ponor is one of the most known Romanian gymnasts after 1989. Her performances are really impressive. She entered the Romanian National team of gymnastics in 2002 and won several medals at individual balance beam, floor exercise and also together with the Romanian team. Among the most important medals she won were: three gold medals at the European Championship in 2004, she won gold at every exercise she performed during the Olympic Games in Athens (this never happened before), gold during the European Championship in Brussels in 2012.
